Solar policy, state by state.

Rooftop solar economics are shaped by two things: the central subsidy you qualify for and your state's net-metering rules. Here's the framework that applies across India, plus the distribution company and regulator for every state and union territory.

Compiled from public policy sources — MNRE's PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, the Electricity (Rights of Consumers) Rules, and State Commission frameworks. Figures are indicative: net-metering caps, surplus banking and settlement rates are set by each state and revised periodically. Confirm the current rules with your DISCOM or SERC before sizing a system.

In a world where the climate crisis is no longer a distant warning but a pressing reality, the call for businesses to embrace sustainability has never been louder.“If we want to decarbonise, someone has to pick up the bill — whether it's us as consumers, or the companies taking the risk.”

That conviction is where Hedge5 began.

We came to climate action from inside industry itself — from years spent deep in supply chains, sourcing, and operations, where one truth became impossible to ignore: the carbon problem and the efficiency problem are the same problem. The very technologies built to make industry leaner could be turned toward making it cleaner.

But the gap was just as clear. Everyone agreed the climate was in crisis. Everyone was making pledges. Yet for most businesses, the path from intention to action stayed buried under jargon, reports, and promises nobody knew how to keep — and worse, decarbonization was treated as a cost to absorb rather than a switch worth making.

So three people who kept hitting the same wall decided to tear it down together. In 2023, Akshay Anand Mujumdar, Umesh Pandita, and Chaitanyaram Joshi joined hands around a single, stubborn belief — that decarbonization didn't have to be slow, expensive, or out of reach. It could be real, practical, and profitable. And Hedge5 was born to prove it.

We don't sell guilt, and we don't sell buzzwords. We sell a real, working path — from waste to fuel, from emissions to accountability, from “we should” to “we did.” We find where a company's carbon actually comes from, cut it at the source with clean power and clean fuel, and turn the waste most people throw away into energy that moves the world. Through Ren5, we deliver solar, wind, storage and green hydrogen.
