Hard For the Cause

With over 18 years of success in driving shareholder value and revenue growth Umesh Pandita, has built a stellar reputation as a seasoned executive. Starting as a Project Engineer and rising to Senior Engineer at Gujarat Gas Company Limited, he then moved to Praxair India Pvt Ltd, advancing from Manager to Senior Manager in Bulk Sales. His journey continued at Zetwerk Manufacturing Businesses Pvt Ltd as Head of Chemicals & Green Hydrogen where he realized the severe impact of carbon emissions on climate change. This realization motivated him to take action. In 2023, he co-founded Hedge5 with Akshay Mujumdar and Chaitanyaram Joshi, aiming to protect our planet for future generations by stopping carbon footprint. His extensive experience in sales, business development, and strategic partnerships is helping in driving the Hedge5 mission to the next level.

Umesh Pandita

Co-Founder & CBO

Akshay Anand Mujumdar, with 8 years of progressive experience, began his career as a Digital Engineer aerospace, quickly rising to Senior Designer Engineer, and then to Business Development Manager at TCS. His journey continued at Zetwerk as SBU - Head and Business Development - Energy, where he deepened his understanding of industrial processes and their environmental impact. Witnessing the staggering carbon emissions firsthand, Akshay was motivated by the need to address climate change. He teamed up with Umesh Pandita, a colleague from Zetwerk, to create Hedge5. Their mission was clear: a tiny initiative to calm down the wrath of Mother Earth and drive the energy transition towards Net Zero Carbon emissions. Hedge5 symbolize Akshay's vision of a sustainable future, using his skills and experience to tackle environmental challenges.

Akshay Anand Mujumdar

Co-Founder & CEO

Chaitanyaram Joshi, holds an MSc in Engineering Management and a postgraduate Diploma in Business System Analysis, brings 8 years of diverse experience. He began as a Trainee Process Engineer at Amphenol FCI and then moved to Molex, where he rose from Process Engineer to Global Business Development Specialist. His expertise spans the Americas and Europe, with hands-on experience in everything from RFQ to mass production launch and lifecycle management. Concerned by the high carbon emissions he witnessed in his roles, Chaitanyaram was driven to make a positive impact. In 2023, he co-founded Hedge5 with Akshay Mujumdar and Umesh Pandita. His vast experience plays a crucial role in advancing sustainable practices and developing innovative solutions.
